Scholarship Information

Patricia McVeigh Memorial Academic Scholarship Fund



Patricia Hott McVeigh established this scholarship through her will to benefit graduating high school seniors from Reynoldsburg High School.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must be graduating seniors of Reynoldsburg High School.
  • Candidates must have a minimum 3.5 grade point average for seven semesters.


March 1, 2019 at 5:00 p.m EST

Award Amount:

Equal to the amount of the National Merit Scholarship, $2,500 in 2019.


The Columbus chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) is pleased to announce that a student or alumni of your school could be the winning recipient of the Marvin Brown Scholarship this year.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide a $500 award to a deserving high school student who is going to attend an accredited college or university to undertake studies in the area of Marketing, Communications, Journalism and/or Advertising.

Eligibility Criteria:

?        Candidates must be graduating high school seniors or graduates of a central Ohio high school.

?        Candidates must have participated in extracurricular or community service activities.

?        Candidates must have a minimum 2.9 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

?        Candidates must be enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year college or university.

?        Preference will be given to graduates of high schools in Franklin County, and subsequently to graduates of high schools in contiguous counties.

Selection Criteria:

?        Financial need (30%)

?        Academic potential (25%)

?        Career goals (20%)

?        Character, leadership potential (15%)

?        Extracurricular activities and/or community service (10%)

Selection Committee:

A selection committee will be appointed by the President of the Advertising Federation of

Columbus, with each member to serve a three-year term. Appointments will be staggered to

provide both experience and rotation. Appointees are to be members of the Advertising

Federation who are professionals in the fields of advertising, marketing, and teaching.

Administrative Guidelines:

?        Scholarship award shall be paid directly to the educational institution the award recipient attends.

?        Funds may be used to support the student’s expenses for tuition, books, and room and board.
