The state of Ohio holds school districts accountable for their academic performance. Student performance on state tests in reading, math, science and social studies are measured, as are attendance, graduation rates and student academic growth from year to year.
The Reynoldsburg City School District received an
"Excellent with Distinction" rating for the 2011-12 school year, exceeding
26 out of 26 standards. The district achieved a
Performance Index of 101.3, indicating that more students in Reynoldsburg are achieving at higher levels than ever before.
Every Reynoldsburg school was rated Effective or better. Two schools - Hannah J. Ashton Middle School and Summit Road Elementary - received the state's highest rating, "Excellent with Distinction."
