Start times will change next year

Reynoldsburg Schools will introduce a new bell schedule next year in order to accommodate changes in bus service.

Middle school and junior high students who qualify for busing because they live more than two miles from their school will be transported together.  All start times have been scheduled at least 20 minutes after the latest sunrise of the year (in December) so that walkers/bike riders will travel in daylight.

Reynoldsburg High School will use a staggered start in order to reduce traffic congestion/safety issues in the parking lot and drop-off area before school.  Generally, 9th and 10th graders will report to school at 9 a.m., unless they have made arrangements with the high school to schedule an elective or "Content Lab" at 8 a.m.  Limited space is available for students who carpool with an upperclassmen or who must arrive at the earlier time.

The high school also is reducing its day from 8 periods to 7 periods because of staff reductions.

The approved starting and ending times are as follows:

Gr. 11 & 12:  8 a.m. - 2:55 p.m. *
