Mobile unit added to Summer Meal program

Ohio Summer Food Service ProgramFree meals will be available for children age 1 - 19 years through the summer, courtesy of the Ohio Summer Food Service Program.


Any child may stop by for breakfast and/or lunch at Reynoldsburg High School, 6699 E. Livingston Ave. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m., and lunch will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Congratulations to the RHS Class of 2010

Reynoldsburg High School graduated 391 members of the Class of 2010 in a ceremony Tuesday evening at the Schottenstein Center.


Principal Ed Johnson said he was proud of the students' accomplishments.

Lady Raiders to defend state title in track and field

The Reynoldsburg High School Girls Track team will compete Friday in state preliminary events after bringing home the Regional title last weekend.


The team scored 95 points in the regional meet last week, earning the Regional Championship. The top four finishers in each event in the state preliminaries on Friday will move on to the state finals.


The state finals are Saturday, June 5, at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Competing in field events are Donyelle Brown in shot put and Alicia Rodgers in discus. Competing in running events are Destinee Gause, Diamond Gause, Kacia Grant, Yamonie Jenkins and Faith Washington.

Longtime Mills principal to retire; new leadership announced

After 25 years as principal of Herbert Mills Elementary School, Craig Seckel announced to staff and parent leaders this week that he will retire at the end of this school year.


French Run Elementary Principal Dr. Jana Alig will become the new principal at Herbert Mills. Mary Ann Burns will take over at French Run; she is currently the principal at Graham Road Elementary, which will close at the end of this school year.


Superintendent Stephen D. Dackin said Mr. Seckel will be missed by staff, students and families.


“Craig is truly a good man,” Mr. Dackin said. “He cares deeply about educating children, and he has earned the respect and goodwill of parents and educators, alike.”
