Lunch prices increase by 20 cents
The Reynoldsburg Board of Education has approved increases in lunch prices for the first time in a quarter century.
Elementary and middle school lunch prices will increase this school year from $1.65 to $1.85. Junior high and high school prices will increase from $2.25 to $2.45.
The increases were necessary to comply with federal requirements for meal reimbursements. Reynoldsburg's food service department is proud to run a completely self-sufficient program, not dependent on any local tax dollars. The program has maintained a balanced budget, but cannot afford to put federal reimbursements at risk by not complying with the requirements of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
