SCHOOL APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Read this page
thoroughly before completing the application.
Position: Cook, part-time (3 to 4 hours a day).
Qualifications: High school degree or GED.
Good work skills and people skills, with ability to follow instructions.
Have some knowledge of food service practices, operating power kitchen
equipment.
Possess a clean background (including drug screening)
Have the ability to perform basic mathematical
computations.
Application: complete the employment
application in its entirety and sign the waiver on the application. Attach a copy of your high school
diploma or GED certificate and veterans
a copy of your DD214 showing honorable discharge for points of 5% (DD214 form must be submitted by the examination
date). If you don’t have a copy of your diploma, call the board office of the
high school you attended to request a copy of your transcript (it takes a few
weeks to receive but you can return the application in the meantime, making
note of what is missing, and bring the copy to the examination).
Deadline: The application must be returned to Reynoldsburg
City School Board Office at 7244 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068,
Attention Civil Service, by May 22, 2017; (must be postmarked by the deadline
date). Note: tied scores are broken by
the date and time applications are returned.
Examination Date: May 24, 2017 at
6:30p.m. Bring photo ID for check-in (which begins after 6:00 p.m.). You
must be able to test on this date; no other dates are available. Note: You cannot take the examination
unless you complete and return the application.
Examination: Is general knowledge and
includes questions on cooking terms, measurements, basic math, spelling and
comprehension, requiring no study guide. Allow one hour. Refer to the attached sheet for sample questions.
Examination location: Reynoldsburg Police
Building, 7240 E. Main St. (enter through the main doors of the building; the
room is marked and sits off of the lobby).
Starting Wage: $12.32/hour (no insurance benefits).
