If you're interested in drawing, performing, or music, the Encore Academy at Summit Campus is for you! Encore offers students an opportunity to pursue college and career readiness paths that are focused on the arts. Get to know Mr. Young, the principal of ncore Academy, and learn about his love for the arts.

This is only his second year as Principal but he has developed relationships with his students and staff. “Make students your first priority, ” Mr. Young says. Mr. Young and his staff make connections with students, engage with them one on one, and support them outside of school. You'll often see Mr. Young at a concert, choir performance or play, supporting his students and their passion for fine arts. 

 

For the 2018-19 school year, Mr. Young will transition to Assistant Principal with a focus on developing partnerships and integrating fine arts into the curriculum. Mr. Young’s skill set and background in fine arts will allow him to be an advocate for the arts and spend more time with students.

Mr. Young is originally from Chillicothe, Ohio and went to Ohio University for both his bachelor’s and master’s degree. His bachelor’s degree is in Music, which makes Encore a great fit! When Mr. Young is outside of school he loves to hang out with his family and play in his band.
