RHS Summit Campus and the Red Cross Help Save Lives with Blood Drive

Did you know that you can save more than one life when you donate blood? Reynoldsburg High School students and the Red Cross hosted a blood drive at the Summit Campus. The goal: to get 28 people to sign up and donate. As of lunchtime, there were 33 names on the list.

Encore juniors Martha, Mia and Katie manned the sign up table and handled walk ins. Kimberlynn, an 11th grader in the Encore Academy said she had never donated blood before because she was too young, but now that she is 16 and Martha came and spoke to her class and encouraged her to donate, she wanted to give it a try.

Even the teachers gave blood! Ms. Davis was happy to donate. The Red Cross, who provides juice and cookies to donors sweetened the deal by giving everyone who participated $5 Amazon gift cards.
