RHS Students Provide Feedback On Furniture Prototypes

Students and the Maker Ed furniture

Haskell Office Furniture created some Maker Ed furniture prototypes. The work tables, storage and student cubbies were staged at RHS' Summit Campus in the Fab Lab for about a week, where students had the opportunity to interact with the pieces. Representatives from Haskell as well as designers paid a visit to classes to talk about collaborative design, Maker Spaces and to gather feedback about the furniture.

Parts of the furniture were created using 3D printers and Shop Bots just like we have in the Fab Lab. Once Haskell got a feel for what the students liked and didn't like about the pieces, they were able to take that feedback to make tweaks and improvements. Haskell also recorded the feedback for marketing purposes.
