Mrs. Drury is no stranger to Reynoldsburg City Schools. The Principal of Summit Elementary has spent more than 16 years in the District, including time at Hannah Ashton and Waggoner Road Middle Schools as part of the design team. Now, she greets students every morning as they come into school and is overseeing an incredible STEM and National Blue Ribbon School!

“What makes Summit Road Elementary unique is the kids having the opportunity to identify and solve real world problems,” she said. “Our school’s amazing grounds (and having access to the wetlands) allows the kids a great learning experience.” Along with her students Mrs. Drury gives a lot of credit to her staff. “My staff believes in a relationship with our students first before anything else and is hardworking so the kids can get the best learning education,” Mrs. Drury said. “We love all our kids like they’re our own.”

Her favorite part of the day is in the morning because she gets to greet the kids as they walk in. The kids love to give her hugs and tell her all kinds of stories. Mrs. Drury’s favorite event Summit Rd Elementary is the annual STEM Night because it is a time for the kids and their families to come and have fun and highlight their STEM programs. The night has everything from reptiles to soil conservation, magnetics to aerodynamics and offers something for everyone.

Mrs. Drury is originally from Louisville, Ohio and earned her bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University and her masters from the Ohio State University.
