PARCC ASSESSMENTS - District's first round of testing 'very successful'

The Reynoldsburg school district was "very successful" in administering the first round of the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers assessments to students in February and March, according to Jana Alig, Reynoldsburg Schools' director of accountability.

She noted the district put in a lot of advance work to prepare both students and teachers.

"We still had some minor issues, but we were able to administer grades five through high school as online tests, but opted to administer paper-and-pencil tests in grades three and four," she said.

"That success was possible through thoughtful planning, strategic professional development and assessment and building supports through infrastructure and communication," Alig said.
