With school starting next week, many parents and students may be feeling uneasy about big changes on the horizon, such as switching from the lazy days of summer to a new school routine. However, with a little preparation and information, the change should not be so difficult.

Here’s what you need to know before the first school bell rings …

Key Dates

High School Academies
• August 10 – First day of school for Freshman
• August 11 – All high school students attend

Middle Schools/Junior Highs
• August 10 – 6th & 7th graders attend
• August 11 – 5th & 8th graders attend
• August 12 – All students attend

Elementary Schools
• August 10 – Students whose last name begins with A-L
• August 11 – Students whose last name begins with M-Z
• August 12 – All students attend
