Panthers, Raiders Bracing for OCC-Ohio Matchup

The OCC-Ohio Division schedule is the time of the season when things are "unforgiving," according to Reynoldsburg High School football coach Buddy White.

Tom Phillips, who coaches the Raiders' next opponent, Pickerington North, agrees that his team is in for more challenging times even as it must overcome a 33-28 loss to one of the area's top teams, Olentangy Liberty, on Sept. 23.

Last week, the Raiders (4-1) beat the Westerville Central Warhawks (1-4) at Reynoldsburg High School Field, 45-35.

This Friday, the Raiders play their homecoming game at 7:30 p.m. against rival the Pickerington North (4-1).

Common opponents for the Raiders and Panthers have included Central Crossing and Westerville Central. Both Reynoldsburg and Pickerington North beat those teams earlier this season.
