All week long, Slate Ridge Elementary School students are throwing kindness around like confetti. The second annual Kindness Week has designated dress days like superhero day or crazy hair day. Each day during lunch, students can purchase $1 Kindness Grams for their fellow students (though many teachers will be getting a gram, too!). They can also be the "I" in KIND when they have their photo taken in the Kindness Backdrop.
On Friday, during the RISE Assembly, a slideshow of pictures will run and the Kindness Grams will be delivered with a special candy treat. The proceeds from the grams will go towards the Kindess and Compassion Club, which is comprised of fourth graders, and their quest to get club shirts. As of today, more than 55 grams had been sold!
