French Run Firebirds Love Their Teachers!
FRES Teachers with Tavin
Our parents in the District are passionate, especially when it comes to our teachers and their children. In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, the Mitchell's, whose son Tavin is in first grade at French Run Elementary School, forwarded Superintendent Melvin J. Brown an email that they had sent last year about Tavin's Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Flagg. They followed up this year with an email about Tavin's first grade teacher, Mrs. Noskowiak, and we asked FRES Principal Dr. Baker to take a picture of Tavin and his teachers!

Below, you can read excerpts of the email, and thank you to the Mitchell's for the kind words!

Mr. Brown,
In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, I wish to share my appreciation for the wonderful teachers that our family has been lucky to have the opportunity to work with.

In this email chain (below) you will find my recognition of Sonia Flagg at French Run; she was our son’s kindergarten teacher. Mrs. Flagg has certainly left a lasting impression for us.

This year we are fortunate to have Lori Noskowiak as our son’s first grade teacher. Lucky for us she picked up right where Mrs. Flagg left off!

We are truly blessed and ReynProud to have the support and care of your wonderful staff and family at French Run.

Thank you for all that you do and we appreciate you all!

As the school year comes to an end I wanted to take the time to tell you how phenomenal Mrs. Flagg has been for my son, Tavin. She is truly an asset to the school and most importantly to my child. Sending my baby off to school was not easy. Tavin did not attend pre-k so I was worried about his development. He was an only child for so long; I was concerned about the attention he would receive. I didn't know how he would adjust to structure in an elementary school since he has never been to a daycare center.

Mrs. Flagg made this transition so easy for us! She is always available to answer questions and address any concerns. Most important she became an extension of our family for Tavin. He adores her! Tavin is so eager to learn because he cannot wait to make Mrs. Flagg proud. I love that this is his first year at school and his best year. I cannot wait to see what his future holds. Mrs. Flagg has definitely set a strong academic foundation for Tavin!
