RCS Teachers Participate in Externship
Summer School isn't just for students! Three of our teachers are participating in externships this summer! Dr. Hanna, with the eSTEM Academy, Ms. Bozada with Herbert Mills STEM Elementary School and Ms. Stewart from Summit Road Elementary School are a part of an initiative between the Ohio Soybean Council, GrowNextGen, and Waterman Farms, (Ohio State - College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences) to support teachers as they create projects to introduce and increase student engagement with issues pertaining to bio-economics.
Check out Dr. Hanna's pictures from when they toured Waterman Farms at OSU to begin learning about Ohio's bio-economy on our Facebook page. This summer, each teacher will spend time on the farm to develop projects. Finished projects will be posted on the Grow Next Gen website for teachers all across the state and country to use.
