RCS Stops The Bleed
Reynoldsburg City Schools is taking a proactive approach in dealing with the realities of life in the 21st century which includes preparation for emergency situations like natural disasters, vehicle accidents or acts of violence.

Launched in October of 2015 by the White House, Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and a call to action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.

Reynoldsburg City Schools and the Truro Township Fire Department partnered together to ensure there are trauma kits in every classroom of every school in the District. Our Safety and Security Team were on hand to collect kits for their buildings, and they and our teachers will go through training later in the year to learn how to use the kits.

"We would like to thank the Truro Township Fire Department for their partnership," said RCS Safety and Security Director Nick Keisel. "These kits will help bridge the mere minutes between a trauma and first responders on scene and potentially save lives."
