Principal Profile: Dr. Baker is Ready to SOAR at FRES
Dr. Baker, FRES PrincipalFrench Run Elementary School welcomed a new Principal over the summer. Dr. Baker brings more than 19 years of experience to the District. Her goal as an educator is to embrace the uniqueness, dignity and worth of each student and provide leadership and support to both staff and students. Most recently, Dr. Baker was the Lead K-6 Mathematics Coordinator for Columbus City Schools where she developed the K-12 mathematics budget, developed processes for curricular resources and managed math tutors, teacher leads and department chairs for 109 schools. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and her Master of Education from The Ohio State University, and her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Baker is also a member of several professional organizations including Learning Forward, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics.

"French Run Elementary School is known for a place that develops leaders," said Dr. Baker. "I felt it was a natural transition to bring my experience with curriculum and instruction to the role of Principal."

Dr. Baker also thanked the community for making her feel so welcome. "I've felt nothing but welcome! Between the District leaders, the other principals and teachers, everyone has been very inviting."

In her free time, Dr. Baker likes to read and attend her children's various sporting events.
