HAMS Boys Group Gets "Driven"
Hannah Ashton Middle School offers a boy’s mentorship group called Driven led by Coach Roy Hall and the Driven Foundation. The group meets regularly throughout the year learning, leadership skills, and developing characteristics that will help the boys be successful despite the various challenges or set- backs they may experience along the way.
Coach Hall is a former Ohio State Football and NFL football player. He partnered with Coach Meyer and all the Ohio State Football Coaches and staff to host a camp for all of Roy’s programs including 100 boys. The boys not only worked through various drills with The Ohio State Football coaches, but listened to motivational character building "huddle talks" throughout the day. The day was so exciting as they experienced playing football at Ohio State’s indoor practice facility. The boys also took a tour through the facilities where they got to see all the Hall of Famers, great academic accomplishments and at the end the amazing “Hardware and bling”!
To top off an amazing experience for the boys they heard encouraging words from Ohio State’s defensive coordinator Coach Greg Schiano, Quarterback J.T Barrett and took pictures and met Coach Urban Meyer!
