Camp Invention Combines Learning and Fun for the Summer!
A camper shows off her invention: a high-heel flip flop'Tis the season for summer camps and summer jobs! Camp Invention came to Reynolndsburg's Summit Road Elementary School last week for the first time.  The camp is a week full of creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills that are challenged and developed in fun and exciting ways. From Space Creatures to Blast Off to Inventions, kids came to Summit Road Elementary to learn and have fun.

The one-week STEM enrichment summer camp kicked off June 5 at Summit Road STEM Elementary School with about 45 attendees.

Created and sponsored by the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Camp Invention has a different theme each year. Summit Road Elementary School Assistant Principal Heidi Leeds organized the camp. Stations rotated between learning, lunch and recess- but even recess included problem-solving and creative thinking skills, when campers were asked to create hockey sticks from random materials Leeds brought from home.
