Mr. Coffey Brings a Jolt of Excitement to BRJHS
Mr. Coffey, Principal at BRJHSMr. Coffey might not be a new face for the District, but he is new to STEM Middle at Baldwin Road Junior High School. Earlier this summer, Mr. Coffey transitioned from Principal of Herbert Mills Elementary School to the junior high. While at Herbert Mills, he created a STEM-based learning structure and involved parents and the community in developing his students.

Mr. Coffey's philosophy is "we are only as good as our last practice," and his goal is to raise the academic standards and achievements of our students by exposing them to deeper levels of learning.

In his first 60 days, Mr. Coffey said he wants to meet as many families as possible and is excited to get to know his new group of students.

"It was hard to leave Herbert Mills, but knowing that a lot of those students will come to Baldwin Road for Junior High School took the sting out of leaving such a strong community and staff," he said.

Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Mr. Coffey graduated from Indiana University and this is his third year in the District.
