RHS Leo Club is Club of the Year!
RHS Leo Club is Club of the Year!The RHS Leo Club, which serves to provide young adults with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national and international community, was recently awarded “Leo Club of the Year” for its philanthropic efforts and service to the Reynoldsburg Community.

The club, which is sponsored by the Reynoldsburg Lions, was one of 29 applicants. All Leos Clubs across the district were entered into the awards process, which took into account size of club, percent of membership participating in activities, number of activities and the number of people served, Signature Activity, leadership, etc.

The RHS Leo Club is known for its signature event, “Raiderthon,” a dance marathon to raise money to fight cancer. This year’s Raiderthon will be in May and the club hopes to exceed last year’s goal of raising $10,000. In addition, the Raiderthon has been submitted for consideration at the state level. This year, the Raiderthon theme will be a luau party. The event will be May 6 from 5-10 pm in the PAC with dancing, music, games and food. Tickets are $5 and all proceeds go towards pediatric cancer research,

The award for Leo Club of the Year will be presented May 13 during a youth luncheon in Sandusky, Ohio.
