Reynoldsburg City Schools Announced 2016-2017 Raider Fellowship Recipients
It was an emotional night for teachers and administration at the April Board of Education Meeting. For the third year in a row, Reynoldsburg City Schools Superintendent Tina Thomas Manning honored teachers as outstanding educators for the impact they’ve made on their students. During the meeting, Mrs.Thomas-Manning personally congratulated 57 recipients of the 2016-2017 Raider Fellowship Awards.
“As a District, we pride ourselves on providing the children of our community the best quality education possible,” said Mrs. Thomas-Manning. “The recipients of the Raider Fellowship Award have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make an impact not only on their student’s education, but their lives. I am proud to recognize them for their service and dedication.”
Raider Fellow Applicants were recognized by demonstrating their impact on student performance in one or more of the following ways:
• In an Expanded Role, qualifying educators demonstrated high impact work that benefited students beyond the classroom, contributed to the professional development of peers, or increased learning opportunities for students.
• In a Non-Traditional Role, qualifying educators demonstrated high impact on student achievement, growth and/or social-emotional development by redesigning their role as an educator.
• In a Hard-to-Fill Role, qualifying educators demonstrated their high impact on student performance by accepting and succeeding in difficult assignments.
Superintendent Thomas-Manning personally reviewed all of the applications before selecting this year’s Raider Fellows.
The Raider Fellowship Award recipients were honored during a ceremony, where they received a stipend, a glass plaque and recognition as Raider Fellow.
