Four RHS Football Players Sign Their Way Into College
Football Signing Event
It was a packed house in the RHS Livingston Campus Student Success Center where four seniors signed letters of intent to play D1 Football in college upon graduating.

RHS’ eSTEM Academy senior Jay Amburgey, offensive/defensive lineman, signed to Ohio University. RHS’ BELL Academy senior Jeremiah Burton, offensive/defensive lineman, also signed to Ohio University.  Wide receiver/safety, RHS’ eSTEM Academy Senior Camby Goff, signed to the United States Air Force Academy, and  wide receiver/safety, RHS’ BELL Academy Senior Mershawn Rice, signed to Purdue University.

Coach Buddy White offered the following advice during the signing, "Use football to get the education. You're a part of a program, and I wish you all the best. Be patient, don't get frustrated, remember you're freshmen all over again. There's no doubt you'll be a part of a championship team."

Coach White also said, "Character-wise, these are some of my favorite guys. They are hard workers and true leaders, and showed the younger players what we needed to do to have a successful season. You're committed to the game and you'll be hard to replace."

All four players have their eye on the prize- not only after high school, but after college as well. Mershawn plans to study business, as he hopes to run his own company. Jeremiah plans to study sports medicine, but isn't ruling out a career in the NFL. Camby plans to study software engineering and be a computer engineer, and Jay wants to study sports medicine in the hopes of being a physical therapist or athletic director.
