Introducing the RPD Illumination Project
Illumination Project Information
The Reynoldsburg Police Department created the Illumination Project, which is a series of events and educational opportunities to strengthen the relationship between community members and law enforcement. The first session was in August with a "Meet the Chief" meet and greet, and the next session will be an Adult Education discussion about current drug trends, terminology and more.

Please join the RPD for this free event on Thursday, November 1 at 6:00 pm at the police department. You'll hear from Sergeant David Barrick from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, who created Operation Street Smart in 2002 as a way to take community education and involvement to a new level.

Officer Fulton at the RPD says, "Our officers work hard in the schools to help our children make the right decisions and say no to drugs, but parents are often left out of the loop. Our goal is to arm parents and teachers with the information necessary to recognize the influences of drug culture on their children, familiarize them with the many different drugs our children face, and share with them the experience and knowledge of undercover narcotics officers so they are better prepared to help their children make the right choices."
