Principal Profile: Mrs. Conley makes each student a priority
Mrs. Conley, SRES Principal“The most important child is the one you’re talking to.” That’s Mrs. Conley’s favorite saying and she makes each student at Slate Ridge Elementary School feel valued. As Principal of Slate Ridge Elementary School, the largest elementary school in our District, her passion to be a leader and doing right by her students and the community shines bright. On her third year as Principal, Mrs. Conley says her students are intelligent and while it is a diverse student body, with one of the largest groups of ESL students, they are one big, happy family.

All of these unique traits about Slate Ridge factor into why she loves being Principal. She also gives major shout-outs to her amazing staff. “Our staff has more of a family feel then most schools and they care about their students as if they were their own,” says Mrs. Conley.

One of Mrs. Conley’s goals is to be a resource to her teachers so that they can teach their students to the best of their ability. Her advice? “Always be true to yourself and who you are to lead a staff,” she says.

Mrs. Conley earned her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and her master’s from Concordia University in Chicago. Her husband is also a Principal and they have two daughters.
