Reynoldsburg Food Service Ranked #11
Reynoldsburg Food Service has been ranked #11 in the country by Food Service Director Magazine. More than 3,800 school cafeterias were surveyed by the magazine and the top 100 cafeterias were recognized.

This rating was based on varieties of healthy food, quality, accommodating vegan/gluten free, and students rating the food.

We are very pleased and excited about this rating. Our food service department strives every day to bring the best food options available to students and staff. We want to thank our food service director Wendy Novotni and assistant Jennifer Drake for their dedication.  Click link to read more bit.ly/1TDlXBk.

We also want to announce that Reynoldsburg is one of 47 recipients awarded funding to improve food services from the National School Lunch Program Equipment Assistance Grant.

Reynoldsburg Food Services will use the funding for a new oven for Slate Ridge Elementary.

The 2014 Agriculture Appropriations Act authorized the Ohio Department of Education, Office for Child Nutrition to competitively award equipment grants to eligible schools participating in the National School Lunch Program. The department received $773,407 for distribution in 2016.

School food authorities submitted 149 grant applications to the department’s Office for Child Nutrition. The department estimates that applicants requested more than $15 million in grant funding.
