Arrival/dismissal procedures outlined

In order to get Taylor Road students in and out of the school in a timely and safe manner, the following arrival and dismissal procedures will be followed:

Taylor Road families will receive signs to designate the pick-up/drop-off locations and help staff efficiently dismiss students.   Parents/guardians should write the children's first names, last initials, and grade levels on the cards and display them on the passenger side.

Only students with Kindergartners will get a pink sign and use the front lot.  All others will get beige signs and use the side lot.

  • Day care vans and buses will pull into the front lot all the way forward to the fire hydrant.
  • Cars with pink signs will pull into the front lot to the flag pole - kindergartners will enter and exit using the K wing doors, all others will enter the main doors.
  • ANY student may ride their bike to school and walk it once on school grounds with their parents' consent. They will enter main doors.
  • All students who do not have a K sibling will get a beige sign for the car and will use the side lot.
  • Kindergarten students and their siblings, walkers, latch key, and day care van riders will be dismissed first.
  • Next, the remaining students in 1st through 4th grade will be dismissed. 1st and 2nd graders will take the hall to the right of the gym and 3rd and 4th graders will take the hall to the left of the gym. Once outside, all students will stand in their designated space by grade until called to their cars.
