Parents: On our Taylor Road Webpage, we have asked for items for our Green Days. We are still in need of Oreos and large marshmallows. If you are able to send them in, please send them ASAP. Thank you!!!
Many days we will not be able to go out to the playground, but if it comes to a day when we can, please make sure they are prepared to go outside. Students need to have hats, gloves, and scarves, if possible. Practice zipping or buttoning their coat with them to gain more independence. I try to help them as they go out, but it is easier if they learn to do it themselves. Thank you so much for your support!

Look for the day of the week your student is assigned. Some groups have changed. Continue to reread the same book daily. They should read their book 4 times each week. Repetition helps them become more fluent readers. Each week there is one worksheet with their book. Please practice and complete this task, too. Begin practicing sight words if you haven't already. It is vital that they have their sight word knowledge to be successful in first grade.

Homework Is Important!
Each week students are expected to write 2 sentences and draw pictures. Remember to let them sound it out. We are using "Smarty Spelling". I will send them home in the Thursday folder and they are due on that following Friday. It is important that it is turned in on the due date.
