Thank you for all you do! I loved that so many of you showed up for the Fairy Tale Ball. I was so proud of each and every one of them. I was fighting back tears. They each have such endearing qualities. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Look for the day of the week your student is assigned. Some groups have changed. Continue to reread the same book daily. They should read their book 4 times each week. Repetition helps them become more fluent readers. Students will have a book report to do each week to be turned in with their book. Also, students should know the 1st three lists of sight words. Keep practicing! .

Homework Is Important!

Each week students are expected to complete a book report about their book. The assignement is for them to write their name, copy the title from the book and draw and color a picture about their book accompanied by a sentence about the book. Remember to let them sound it out. We are using "Smarty Spelling". I will send it in their Book in the Bag and it should return with their book on their assigned day. It is important that it is turned in on the due date.

Book orders will be due on April 11. I will send them home next week before Spring Break. Please let me know if you need a new one. You can order online at www.scholastic.com beginning March 22.
