Sunny with a chance of COSI. That is how it was last week at TRE. The theme was CURRENT CONDITIONS- All about the Weather. All TRE students attended an assembly with a presenter from COSI. Then every student participated in small hands-on stations ran by our parent and grandparent volunteers. It was a wonderful learning experience for everyone. I would like to thank everyone for making our COSI ON WHEELS experience a memorable event for everyone.

Happy 100th Day of School!
Spelling News
Just a reminder: All students are expected to write a sentence using at least 1 spelling word on their test. Every week your child must choose a word to use in a sentence that will be practiced nightly at home as well as the given sentence. This sentence will be graded for capital usage, punctuation, and correct spelling. Please remind your child to practice it daily. On Friday for the test, it will need to be written from memory.
Example: I have a fish. As you can see, it does not have to be a long sentence.
SIGHT WORDS
Lists 7, 8, 9 are attached. Please practice them often. Students will be checked on sight word recognition at the end of the quarter. Your child should be able to say the word within 3 seconds without sounding it out as an attempt. Thank you for practicing these at homes. This will help to build a larger reading vocabulary for your child. Also, I have attached the High Frequency Sight Words 1-3. If your child already mastered sight words 7, 8 and 9, please move on to this new list.
Below you can find great learning sights to practice skills at home.
