Parents of seventh graders should also be aware by now of a new state vaccination requirement. Proof of a booster vaccination - either a Tdap booster, or a Td booster in the last five years, must be provided to your junior high school by Sept. 15 in order to avoid exclusion from school for failure to vaccinate.
Running a safe and efficient school transportation system is among our highest priorities. The RCSD transportation department is monitoring all routes closely and making adjustments during these first weeks of school.
Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 1, Eastland and Fairfield students may ride neighborhood buses home from their neighborhood middle schools. The change is being made in order to help the bus schedule run more smoothly.
Parents are reminded that their 7th grade student is required to receive a DTaP booster vaccination. Please see the attached schedule of local immunization clinics.
