Home Education & Withdrawal

Home Education

In Ohio, parents interested in educating their children at home may do so by notifying their  local school district and meeting the requirements of Ohio law to home school.

Parents or guardians who decide to homeschool their students are completely responsible for choosing the curriculum and course of student. They select the curriculum and educational materials and take responsibility for educating their children.

Withdrawing from RCS

In the event that you need to withdraw a student from Reynoldsburg City Schools (for example, due to moving to a new district), you must complete a Withdrawal form.

You can request this form from your student’s school secretary. After filling out the form, please return it to the student’s RCS building secretary.

If you are unable to pick up and drop off the form in person, the custodial parent/guardian can request the form from the school and return it by emailing the completed form to the school secretary. Please note that we can only accept the form electronically if it is emailed from the custodial parent’s/guardian's email address that we have on file for identity verification purposes.
