This year at HAMS we have an amazing new program that 8th Graders are taking as an elective instead of P.E. This program is called CrossFit. CrossFit is a type of workout that involves functional movements and high repetitions over time. The types of workouts you do in this class involves anything you can imagine from lifting weights to just doing regular pushups. CrossFit is designed for older kids because it involves more stamina, strength, and intensity. Cross Fit is a semester long course. The goal for Cross Fit is to become athletic and healthy. CrossFit is different from other work outs because it involves every part of the body. The two people that run CrossFit here at HAMS are Sue and Teri. They have taught and coached CrossFit for several years and are very talented at what they do. In all CrossFit is a great program here at HAMS for the 8th grade and should be appreciated.
