Its Chronicle and Super 8 combined in this upcoming film Earth to Echo. Earth to Echo is based on a science fiction adventure that is directed by Dave Green and produced by Andrew Panay and stars Teo Halm, Astro, Reese Hartwig, and Ella Wahlestedt. The plot of the film is basically, a group of friends, Tuck, Munch, and Alex start to get eccentric encoded messages on their phones and they commence on an unbelievable exploit to discover the meaning behind the messages. They begin to think that it is something bigger and go to their parents and police but no one takes them seriously.  

They go on a secret adventure to find out what is happening and follow it to its source. As time goes on, they discern that these communications they are getting are from a puzzling being from another world and gravely needs their help. They begin to investigate these bizarre texts after a construction project begins in their community. If you loved the movie Chronicle or even Super 8, then I advise you to go see it on the big screen when it premiers on July 2, 2014.
