Mr. Poole

There are a lot of new faces around HAMS this year.  One of those faces belongs to Mr. Poole.  Mr. Poole is the new Time Out/Discipline teacher this year.  Even though he just became a Time Out/Discipline teacher at HAMS, he has been doing this for 6 to 7 years.  Prior to coming to HAMS, he had several different jobs including being an Ohio State Trooper, a player and coach for the Ohio Valley Greyhounds, and a Student Safety Resource Coordinator for Columbus City Schools.

Mr. Poole is very athletic.  When he was younger, he played basketball, baseball, and college football for the University of Minnesota.  In his free time, he likes to watch TV and workout.  He enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, being fit and listening to music.  When I asked how he likes it here at HAMS and what he wants to accomplish, he said it’s great and he loves it.  He also said that he wants to assist with making a safe and healthy environment for staff and students.

Even though Mr. Poole may look intimidating and most of us never actually want to be in his class, he is a very nice and polite man.  If you see him in the hall, make sure to take time to say “Hello”.
