If you’ve read the novel Maze Runner than you definitely should make a trip to the movies when the film hits the big screen on September 19, 2014.
The Maze Runner is an upcoming science-fiction drama thriller based on the novel by James Dashner. This film is directed by Wes Ball and written by Noah Oppenheim, the film stars one of my favorite actors, Dylan O’Brien who plays Thomas in the film and who also plays Stiles in again one of my all-time favorite shows, Teen Wolf. The film also stars Thomas Sangster, Kaya Scodelario, Will Poulter, Aml Ammen, Ki Hong Lee, Jacob Latimore, and Alex Flores, Blake Cooper and many more talented actresses and actors. Ken Barthelmey is the creature designer and Ken also created the concept designs for the film. Production/filming took place in Louisiana on May 13th and ended on July 12, 2013. The film was said to be released on February 14, 2014 but then it got pushed back until September.
The film is basically about a group of boys, with no memories of their past lives, and must make their way through a huge maze infested with deadly creatures to make it back to the outside world. So, when Thomas wakes up in this maze with other boys he has no memory of the outside world and he starts to have strange dreams about an organization known as WICKED. With all that going on, Thomas hopes he can puzzle everything together to reveal purpose and a way to escape with the help of others.
