The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is about a teenager from New York City, named Clary Fray, played by Lily Collins. She discovers that she comes from a long line of Shadowhunters, half-angel warriors, who are locked in an ancient battle to protect the world from demons. After her mother, played by Lena Heady, disappears, Clary must join a group of Shadowhunters, who introduces her to an alternate New York called ‘Downworld’. This new alternate world is filled with demons, vampires, werewolves, and other deadly creatures.
The Mortal Instruments came out in theaters on August 21, 2013 and is out in theaters right now. It runs for about 130 minutes and has made $36,944,000 at the box office. City of Bones is produced by Don Camody, directed by Harald Zwart and is based on the worldwide best-selling novel series by Cassandra Clare. On May 8, 2013, it was publically declared that a film for the second book, City of Ashes, will start to film on September 23, 2013 and the release date will be in 2014. In the next movie, Sigourney Weaver will be joining the cast. Also, a game, based on the movie was just released on August 15, 2013 for Android and IOS and it is free.
