Twenty|One|Pilots

Twenty One Pilots is a pop, indie-tronica, synth-pop, alternative rock, rap rock, and indie rock band from Columbus, Ohio. The band consists of drummer Josh Dun and singer Tyler Joseph. I honestly would describe their music as catchy and dance-able.  Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun race through a number of musical styles and moods in the course of a few minutes, from uplift, to indie pop with stops in between for rapping, with just a pinch of dub-step bounce, and make perfect hip hop lyrics.

In the song Holding On To You, Tyler Joseph is talking about holding onto faith to overcome personal problems in this case, depression-type thoughts. He sings that he's going to try to control his mind by putting a leash on it and just give it over to God and telling God to take his life and take his soul and let God surround him. And he's also talking to other people who struggle with the same problems, telling them to also entertain faith. But he's making it clear that people shouldn't just follow these lyrics.  He wants people to think for themselves.

Holding on to you has been number 33 on the Billboard 100 chart for 4 weeks, has been number 10 in alternative songs as of June 1st , and number 67 in the Japan Hot 100 chart. Check out this song in the link above.
