Dr. Tracy R. Reed
About the Superintendent
Dr. Tracy Reed’s background reflects a commitment to educational equity and inclusion.
Previous senior leadership roles include Chief Academic Officer with Sandusky City Schools in
Sandusky, Ohio; and Fort Wayne Community Schools in Fort Wayne, Indiana that serves over
28,000 students with over 70 languages. As an executive team member, she led several
departments, including special education, English learners, Title I, curriculum, assessment and
instruction, and educational technology. Dr. Reed also served as the Assistant Superintendent
of Curriculum and Instruction with Benton Harbor Area Schools, Benton Harbor, Michigan. In
addition to holding senior leadership positions in three states, Tracy was a teacher and assistant
principal in Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Cleveland, Ohio, and a principal in Maple
Heights City Schools, Maple Heights, Ohio.
She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati in Elementary
Education, her master's degree in Educational Supervision from Cleveland State University, and her doctorate in Educational Leadership with a minor in school law from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.
Dr. Reed is married to Gerald Reed and is the mother of three sons and one stepson.
