Nationwide Children's School-Based Health Center

Nationwide Children’s provides access to health care for children, ages 0 to 21, in school or on a mobile care center. Services include checkups, sick visits, vaccines, COVID-19 testing, medication management, blood work and more. For more information, contact SchoolHealth@NationwideChildrens.org.

The roving vaccine team provides vaccines in school or at other community-based locations, including all childhood vaccines, flu shots, required school vaccines and COVID-19 vaccines. To learn more, email NCHVaccines@NationwideChildrens.org.

Nationwide Children’s licensed behavioral and mental health professionals provide year-round comprehensive, preventive and therapeutic services in school and at home. Experts help children to overcome life’s problems, feel better, manage relationships and improve how they do in school. Contact your school counselor or school social worker to make a referral.

The Diabetes and School Health (DASH) Program provides direct oversight, education and support for students with Type 1 diabetes in school. For more information, email DASH@NationwideChildrens.org.

The School-Based Asthma Therapy (SBAT) Program is a partnership between the school nurse and medical provider to ensure students with high-risk asthma receive their medication every day by taking it at school. Contact SBAT@NationwideChildrens.org for more information.

The Sickle Cell OUTreach in Schools (SCOUTS) Program supports students with sickle cell disease by improving medication adherence, bridging gaps in care and providing education to schools and families.

Nationwide Children’s experts provide vision services for students in need of an eye exam or glasses adjustments, as well as assistance with ordering new glasses.

Nationwide Children’s staff offers comprehensive dental services to prevent and repair tooth decay, pain and infections. Dental care includes cleanings, fluoride treatments, oral exams, x-rays, sealants and more.

The sports medicine team provides treatment for sports-related injuries and injury prevention. These services are offered to student athletes of all ages and skill levels at the Reynoldsburg High School - Livingston Campus location.

Nationwide Children’s offers transportation to school-based health care services from schools within the district. If a student from a Reynoldsburg City School needs care, our team will work together to confirm consent, schedule the appointment and transport the student to the school-based health center at the Livingston campus.

You can support your child through mild illness to help them stay in school. Eating nutritious food, drinking plenty of fluids and using over the counter medications, when appropriate, can help them stay in the classroom.
