Did you know that Reynoldsburg City Schools has a Travel Team comprised of teachers who lead our students on domestic and international educational trips? Mrs. Alyssa Barrett, Ms. Alexis Poliseno, Mr. Ed Stoll and Ms. Yvonne Riego de Dios want you to grab your passport and join them on an educational journey!

“Educational travel provides students with the opportunity to experience the world through diverse perspectives, cultures, and traditions,” said Mrs. Barrett. “ It cultivates curiosity and creativity while enhancing confidence as students learn to navigate real-world situations with greater independence.”

RCS’ Travel Partner, EF plans safe, effective and efficient tours. EF appoints tour guides who are knowledgeable about the area and also book approved hotels for the groups to stay in. “EF is with us through the entirety of the tour, just a phone call away,” explains Mrs. Barrett. “There is someone on call 24/7.”

When it comes to choosing destinations, the RCS Travel Team selects locations based on student and family interests. “As a team, we strive to offer a wide range of options that provide diverse and enriching experiences designed to engage individuals with varied interests and backgrounds,” said Mrs. Barrett.

Educational travel is also a way to create great memories. Here are some of the travel team’s favorite memories from past trips:

“In the summer of 2024, I went ziplining through the jungle in Belize with 15 RHS seniors, and we had a blast!” -Ms. Poliseno

“In Spring 2024, I took students to Spain. A couple of my favorite memories from the trip were biking through the streets of Barcelona and also on our final night the other chaperones and I gave out superlatives to each student about their most memorable moment from the trip. It was a lot of fun, and something I will definitely be doing on every other trip I lead!” - Mrs. Barrett

“On our trip to Belize, we were able to actually climb up one of the Mayan ruins, which was a pretty incredible experience!” -Mrs. Riego de Dios
