RCS’ Board of Education Values Student Input

Meet Riley, the RHS senior who is the Student Representative for the Board of Education. Riley is filling the shoes of Pratima, who graduated last year, and will be the voice of the student body during meetings.

Riley will meet with Superintendent Dr. Tracy R. Reed and attend monthly Board meetings, where he will provide input and updates from his peers.

“My name is Riley Albright, and I am a 12th-grade student at the Summit High School campus. I chose to apply to be the BOE Student Representative because I want to serve as a bridge between my fellow students and the decision-making process. I believe it’s important for students to feel connected to the decisions that affect them in their daily lives.

I am passionate about improving communication between students and the administration, promoting school pride, and creating opportunities that encourage unity among our students.

I plan to communicate regularly through social media updates and organized meetings to keep students informed. Additionally, I will work to develop programs and events that bring students from both campuses together to promote a sense of community. I am REYNProud because our schools provide valuable opportunities that allow students to learn, and grow. Demonstrating school pride fosters a positive environment where all students feel motivated to succeed.

I am dedicated to ensuring that every student feels represented and heard. I believe that through collaboration, we can strengthen the Reynoldsburg community and make it an even better place for all of our students!

When I am not at school, I enjoy playing golf and I am a member of the high school golf team. I am also involved in the National Honor Society, Leo Club, Model UN and have founded the Pickleball Club. After graduation, I plan to attend The Ohio State University and study through the Professional Golf Management Program.”
