RCS Redistricting Information
Dear Reynoldsburg City Schools’ Families,
This week, we mailed out letters to let you know which school(s) your student(s) will go to for the 2025-2026 school year. Every family will get a letter, even if their school has not changed.
In the packet, you will find:
-
A letter telling you which school your student(s) will attend and the dates for Meet the Teacher/Raider Check-In
-
A list of school supplies for grades K-8
-
Vaccine information
-
Information from Food Services
-
Calendar highlights for the 25-26 school year
The school locator can be found at: bit.ly/SchoolLocatorRCS. Thank you for being so patient as we work to make sure the information we send out is 100% accurate. In August, we will share the bus route information. Below are some questions and answers that you might have about the letters.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Why are you redistricting? Didn’t we just do this?
A: Yes, we redistricted in 2022 after the closing of Hannah Ashton Middle School. We need to redistrict again because some of our schools are too crowded, and to reduce transportation costs as a result of the failed levy in November of 2024.
Q: What about Intra-District transfers?
If you submit a request for an Intra-District transfer through the Welcome Center, we will review it and check if there is space at that school. Any Intra-District transfers will be determined in August. Only approved requests will be notified by mail. We do not notify you of denied requests. Families should assume their child will attend their assigned school unless notified otherwise.
Q: I didn’t get a letter. Does that mean I don’t need to do anything?
A: Every family will get a letter, even if their student is staying at the same school. If you do not get a letter by June 30th, please call Jen Chomin at (614) 501-1051. We will also check for any letters that are returned and reach out to those families.
Q: My child is starting high school. Has a school supply list been shared yet?
A: School supply lists are only for students in grades K-8. High school students will get information about supplies during Raider Check-In and when classes start.
