School Feature: Reynoldsburg High School

Reynoldsburg High School serves approximately 2,200 students across two campuses: Livingston and Summit.
Both campuses are led by a principal and three assistant principals. Mrs. Jacquelyn Thompson serves as the principal of the Summit Campus, and Dr. Kyle Gibson leads the Livingston Campus. To support student well-being, each campus also has three school counselors and a school social worker.
This school year, 9th and 10th grade students were assigned to a campus based on their home address. 11th and 12th grade students were placed according to the academic pathway they chose. Reynoldsburg High School offers a variety of pathways, and students are welcome to take classes across multiple areas. The pathways offered are regularly reviewed to make sure that they align with student interests, future career goals and the evolving workforce.
The District also partners with a number of institutions to support higher-level and technical learning. These partners include Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools (EFCTS), Columbus State Community College (CSCC), and Central Ohio Technical College (COTC). Around 200 students participate in programs at EFCTS each year. Students taking college-level courses through CSCC or COTC may complete selected classes on one of our high school campuses, while others attend their courses directly on the college campus.
The high school has a wide variety of programs and clubs available as well. One particular program of note is the DECA Club.
Reynoldsburg DECA is a student-led business club with locations at both the Livingston and Summit campuses. DECA Club is an international organization that prepares high school and college students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management through competitive events, classroom instruction, and leadership development. Students can participate in online simulations, project-based learning, case study analysis, and in-person competitions to develop their skills and earn opportunities to compete at the national level.
What the DECA Club currently does/offers:
- Rocky’s Corner: Student-run store at the Livingston Campus
- Raider Designs: Student-run clothing store specializing in Reynoldsburg clothing
- Raider Cove: New student-run store coming to the Summit Campus
- Community service projects
- DECA District and State competition
- Trips to local businesses to meet with leaders and marketing teams (i.e., Columbus Blue Jackets and Ohio State Basketball team)
All the proceeds from DECA sales go towards transportation, scholarships (usually two worth $500 each), an end of year banquet and an end of year celebration trip.
