RHS named among top schools to visit

Reynoldsburg schools have been recognized as among the nation's top schools for educators to visit. School visits help develop an innovative mindset, according to Getting Smart's Tom Vander Ark, who has compiled a list of the 100 best schools to visit based on their ability to provide powerful learning experiences to students.

Vander Ark, who visited Reynoldsburg last year, has referenced the district's programs in many subsequent articles. In his top 100 list, he named Reynoldsburg High School's academies as worth seeing because students participate in learning blocks that combine high school curriculum, college courses and exposure to careers. The district has since incorporated more formal career sequences that result in industry-recognized credentials that make students employable in their fields of interest.

That came over time as he studied law and other related topics in school. Now, he is looking forward to continuing the work beyond January's conference and his own graduation in the spring.
