Nationwide Children’s Care Connection Brings Smiles to RCS

NCH Dentists

Thanks to our partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s school-based health services, Care Connection, students at French Run Elementary School are able to get dentistry services at school. More than 85 students have signed up to have their teeth checked, cleaned, get x-rays and more.

“We are trying to help remove barriers that parents can face when it comes to dental care,” said Janice Townsend, DDS, MS. “With life disruptions like COVID-19, we help our patients get back into the routine of scheduling regular checkups so patients don’t experience emergencies.”

The School-based Dental Clinic is available to all RCS students. The first clinic was held at RHS’ Livingston Campus. French Run Elementary School is the host building for the next few weeks.

“We are beyond grateful and excited for the NCH Dental Clinic,” said French Run Elementary School Principal, David Schottner. “Our families and students will benefit greatly from this partnership.  Our amazing Firebird smiles are about to get even healthier and brighter!”

In addition to dentistry, Nationwide Children’s offers other health care services, including checkups, physicals, behavioral health,

immunizations (shots) and more, at its school-based clinic on the Livingston Campus.
