Today, RCS Superintendent Melvin J. Brown announced that beginning December 2, Ms. Donita Hampton will join The
9X Impact as Principal, while Mr. Brooks will transition into the role of Instructional Coordinator in support of the District’s instructional initiatives, which include the academic components of The 9X Impact. As we work to provide additional supports, we see this as an additional level of support that will enhance our opportunities to be successful.
Ms. Hampton is a
student-focused leader with proven expertise as an administrator, teacher and
coach in motivating youth to achieve their goals. She holds parents, students
and staff in high regard and has experience developing relationships within a
diverse population.
Currently, Ms. Hampton is an Assistant Principal at RHS’ Encore Academy, where she joined the District last year. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Principal at Whitehall-Yearling High School in Whitehall, Ohio. We are excited to bring her knowledge and experience to The 9X Impact.
Due to his knowledge and experience with the New Tech Network, his expertise in classroom instruction, and all of his efforts in leading the creation of The
9X Impact, our first freshman academy, Mr. Brooks will continue to interact with the instructional program and curriculum development for the academy throughout the rest of this school year, but will also have a significant role in the continued expansion of the overall District academic program in support of our Strategic Plan moving forward.
