5th Graders at BRJHS are Out of This World!

Waterproof housing is required on the planet Europa

"How can we survive in an uninhabitable/unknown environment?" That was the question teachers asked the fifth grade class at STEM Middle at Baldwin Road, and the answers the students came back with were out of this world. From housing that would support a planet made from mostly water, to creating more oxygen on Titan by growing beans, the creative juices were flowing at the school.

Parents, RCS Staff and Community Members roamed the halls learning about the types of clothes you'd need to wear to live in space, to the food you'd eat, launching rockets and more. The BRJHS teachers worked with NASA and the PAST Foundation to create a STEM-based learning challenge that was fun and engaging. We loved this Gallery Walk to the moon and back!
