Good Day Columbus Visits Reynoldsburg on the First Day of School!

Good Day Columbus at Summit Campus

All of our teachers, bus drivers, cooks, administrators and staff were ready to welcome the first wave of students during our staggered start beginning of the school year, and Good Day Columbus was on site to capture a day of firsts for many of our students!

Cameron Fontana, in his "Cam about Town" segment came to RHS' Summit High School and Summit Road Elementary School to talk to principals, teachers and students about the first day of school!

He started the morning at the high school, where he interviewed Superintendent Brown about how excited he is to start the year. Mr. Brown then went to the other buildings in the District, and plans to visit all schools between the first two days of school. Meanwhile, Cameron spoke to Mrs. Smith's Integrated Math Class, the eSTEM Student Ambassadors who help freshmen find their way around their new school, and Mr. Daniel's Behind the Scenes class. He also interviewed Encore Academy Principal Dr. Bailey who gave a shout out to her all-female Admin Team as well as BELL Academy's all-female, African American Admin Team.

Then, they went across the street to talk to Mr. Menhorn and Ms. Dauterman, SUES' Principal and Assistant Principal, respectively. Cameron featured third and fourth graders who were very excited not only to be on TV, but to be back at school to learn math and improve their reading!

We'll update this story with the link once it is posted on Good Day Columbus' website, and good luck to all of our Raiders, who are starting the new school year!
