2018 Special Teams Pro-bowler, Roosevelt Nix-Jones has launched the Rosie Nix Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that will kick-off it’s first official charitable giving at Reynoldsburg High School. Nix has arranged for four seniors at Reynoldsburg High School to receive a scholarship of $1,000 each. The scholarship will go towards their artistic craft to help pursue educational advancement. The applicants will be required to submit a 2 minute introductory video. The student’s video must showcase their craft as it relates to their studies and explain how the funds will be beneficial to their advancement. Winners will be announced mid-spring.
Roosevelt Nix-Jones is a 2018 Pro-bowler and fullback for the American National Football League team, Pittsburgh Steelers. Nix has been playing football since the age of four and was drafted to the Atlanta Falcons in Spring of 2014. After being release d from the Falcons during training camp, Nix spent the next year keeping up with his mental and physical health preparing him for a call that would change his life. In 2015, he signed a 1-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers which was extended for another season in 2016 and led to his four-year deal in 2018. Now, Nix is devoting his time and love to paying it forward in his hometown of Columbus, OH. The Rosie Nix Foundation works hard to help people touch their dreams first hand by encouraging the use of their own will power. In 2017, Nix began hosting an annual youth football camp in July which inspired the start of Rosie Nix Foundation. The foundation strives to become a staple in the Columbus, OH area bringing inspiration and innovation to the
youth and all of its community.
